New Lexus LS Hybrid Review 

The 2022 Lexus LS 500 lineup wouldn't be complete without the Lexus LS hybrid. This all-new versatile sedan combines luxury and decent fuel efficiency to satisfy a driver's need for reliability, style, and value. 

With a starting price of $112,000, the Lexus LS hybrid comes with a 3.5-liter V6 engine supplemented with two electric motors. You can expect a comfortable ride, even though it only sports a total horsepower of 354. Though a top speed of 136 MPH and the ability to go from 0-60 in 5.2 seconds don't make for the most exciting performance numbers, you'll still find plenty of pros with this luxury hybrid. 

The Design 

The Lexus LS hybrid features a trademark, bold Lexus front grille and headlights. There's no mistaking this sedan for its competitors. You'll find that the LS hybrid comes in an array of colors as well:

• 20-inch split 10-spoke forged alloy noise-reduction wheels with Gloss Black accents and machined finish. 

Fuel Economy 

Though it's not the best on the market, you'll still get great gas mileage with the Lexus LS hybrid. The LS 500 AWD, LS 500 F Sport, and LS 500 F Sport AWD offer gas mileage between 17-18 city and 27-29 highway. The LS hybrid's powertrain gets you a moderate 29/22 MPG highway/city, with a combined MPG of 25.

It's not a giant leap, but you're still saving on gas when you opt for the hybrid model in the Lexus LS 500 line. 

The Comfort 

You're not going to find more intricate patterned fabrics, finer leather upholstery, and comfort than in the cabin of a Lexus LS 500. For a truly luxurious experience, you'll enjoy a leather-wrapped heated steering wheel with premium wood on the Lexus LS hybrid model. 

You'll also enjoy a four-zone Climate Concierge with climate-comfort front and outboard rear seats, infrared sensors, and an air purifier. There's nothing better than adequate climate control, especially during longer trips. If climate comfort is important, this is the car for you.

The Tech

The Lexus LS hybrid boasts advanced parking and drive system, putting on display the innovative technologies Lexus continues to use to refine its vehicles. 

This system is known as the Lexus teammate, a level 2 semi-autonomous system. Lexus teammate allows the Lexus LS 500 line to accelerate, stop, steer, and change lanes with driver supervision on contained roads like freeways.  

Want infotainment and connectivity features? All Lexus LS 500 models come equipped with Amazon Alexa and Apple CarPlay capabilities, navigation, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, all contained behind a modest 12.3-inch display. 

While you can't use voice commands to ask your Lexus LS hybrid to kick up the seat warmers, you can use voice commands to change your music or input directions.
